Julian van den Boom aka Phour Trakk, living in Cologne and due to his studies of the Chinese language travelling far once in a while, is a wanderer inbetween cultures not only in terms of geography.

Vested with an eagerness to experiment and a curiousness for the specific symbolism of sundry cultures, the musical eclecticist uses his pieces to refine smoky urban beats inbetween jazz and hiphop with elements of asian styles from Bombay to Ubud. Reliably he thereby transports us just as well onto a bench in the early morning halflight of an elm in Lower Manhattan, as on board of a barque drifting through the Sundarbarns along the river Brahmaputra in the soft glow of the evening sun.
