English: Whether solo or backed up by the FEX live-band, on stage Fleur Earth is larger than life. What sprouted in the GDR, got drenched with sun as a scion in Congo and finally blossomed in Germany, has got deep musical roots.

Right in the middle between rap and soul, Fleur Earth defines her very own idea of speaking and singing. While others propagate a pubescent "sex, drugs & rap'n'roll" attitude, her stuff is based on elitist beats full of ska, roots and funk'n'soul. Scruffy hip-hop clichees like dipshit-behaviour and misogyny, she just shrugs off with both elegance and eloquence. Instead, she prefers to encode musings and subtlety, determination and snottyness into enigmatic poems that hold words condensed stronger than atoms in a black hole.


Deutsch: Ob solo oder mit der FEX Liveband im Rücken, wenn Fleur Earth auf der Bühne steht, wächst sie über sich hinaus. Was einst in der DDR aufkeimte, als Spross im Kongo Sonne tankte und in der Bundesrepublik erblühte, hat tiefe musikalische Wurzeln.

Punktgenau zwischen Rap und Soul definiert Fleur Earth ihre ganz eigene Idee vom Sprechen und Singen. Wo andere pubertäres "Sex, Drugs & Rap'n'Roll" Gehabe propagieren, macht sie elitäre Beats voller Ska, Roots & Funk'n'Soul zur Grundlage. Ungepflegten Hip-Hop Klischees wie Asi-Brauchtum und Frauenfeindlichkeit erteilt sie ebenso elegant wie eloquent eine Absage. Stattdessen kodiert sie Nachdenkliches und Feinsinniges, Zielstrebiges und Rotziges zu rätselhaften Poemen, in denen Worte stärker verdichtet sind als Atome in einem schwarzen Loch.
