Lash - Deelashious EP

English: If you like it really nice and fat, you usually pay for your preference with a body as big as a couch and the agility of two sacks of cement. What our chief-confectioner Lash has to offer here, though, is creamier than cream, still it won't go onto your hips but straight into your legs.

"Deelashious", his debut ep on iD.EOLOGY, is flirting a bit with trance here, is ogling with electro there and is occasionally giving a wink to techno, but without a doubt, it's always staying true to and in love with house. For as much as the atmospheres might be tripping you up, as kicking as the resonance-filter might be chirping and as harsh as the sawtooth might be cutting, hardly anything is as enticing as the mix of funk's sweet sexyness and disco's glittering glamour.

So really, we don't have to be asked twice but readily start enjoying this assortment of yumminess. And the best thing is we can be sure we're doing something to stay in shape. For booty-shaking is now a must, not an option.


Deutsch: Wer's gern so richtig fett hat, dem beschert seine Vorliebe auf Dauer normalerweise couchartige Körpermaße und die Agilität von zwei Sack Zement. Was unser Haus- und Hofkonfiseur Lash hier kredenzt, ist zwar von allerschlotzigster sahniger Cremigkeit, geht dafür aber keineswegs auf die Hüften, sondern direkt in die Beine.

"Deelashious", seine Debut-EP auf iD.EOLOGY, flirtet hier mit Trance, liebäugelt dort mit Electro und zwinkert auch gern mal rüber zu Techno, bleibt aber House stets in Liebe treu verbunden. Denn so sehr die Atmosphären dich auch wegtragen, so geil der Resonanzfilter auch zwitschert und so krass der Sägezahn auch schneidet, ist doch kaum etwas so verführerisch wie die Verbindung aus der süßen Sexyness von Funk und dem glitzernden Glamour von Disco.

Also lassen wir uns nicht zweimal bitten, sondern es uns mit breitem Grinsen schmecken. Und dabei haben wir sogar noch die Gewissheit, etwas für einen sportlichen Look zu tun. Denn Bootyshaken ist ab jetzt ein Muss, keine Option.

Jaja, der »Windwalzer« tanzte mit dieser Musik noch in den Herbst – und ich in den Sommer 2007. Der Sound kommt nicht nur in der Disko gut, sondern auch am Strand oder im Auto oder … einfach überall.

Excellent stuff. I love the drum work on these tracks, especially the stuttering snares of Marinas Theme. Smooth house, great warmth, swinging funk. Nice one ;)
