English: A rule of thumb says that after you’ve been doing the same old thing for about seven years, you ought to take a break in order to maintain your creativity, and maybe even your sanity. That, in a nutshell, explains what has happened to your cosy, little netlabel of choice during the past one and a half years time.

As you might have noticed already, we’ve re-decorated the place a wee bit in the meantime. Also, you can now find videos for our releases on Youtube and Vimeo, listen to selected tracks from our portfolio and previews to upcoming releases on Soundcloud and to our mixtapes on Mixcloud. More changes are ahead but everything at its time. After all, you’re here for some first-class free music, right? So to get things rolling, we shoot out three polished free releases packed with musical variation and some serious beats. And in order to make you whoo-pee out loud, from now on we’ll be offering our releases in FLAC format along with the regular MP3.

With “Unoriginals”, Zengineers drop their sixth album on iD.EOLOGY and set out on a search for the soul in both people and music. Carefully, they strip down the original tracks of netaudio artists like Entertainment for the Braindead, Tracing Arcs, Monokle, Dub One! and more to their bare bones and blend the essential vibes, moods and impressions that they find in with their own varied, multi-layered drum’n'bass beats. They mount all that into one flowing, well over 40 minutes long mixtape that’ll have you grooving along properly and that’ll possibly give you a grasp on why Zengineers know for a fact that the soul is a remix.

Russian production-whizz Counterphase enters the iD.EOLOGY stage with his debut offering entitled “Ghost of the Time Lost”, a chilling combination of strong atmospheres from dramatic music and the slick, thick sound of dubstep and drum’n'bass. Creepy and gloomy, and sometimes laid-back and well-tempered, this EP is the varied soundtrack for an epic movie that you’ll be rolling yourself inside your own head while you listen. Classical strings and pianos meet low’n'slow sub-bass and razorsharp sawteeth, musicality meets rhythm-feel … and your spines will most certainly meet some pleasant shivers.

With a plethora of excellent instrumental hip-hop releases on splendid labels such as Dusted Wax, Strad has become a household name on the netaudio-scene. His first album on iD.EOLOGY entitled “Atomic Tonic” is an invigorating brew that has all the complex flavours of jazz, funk and hip-hop, laced with pinches of lounge, electronica and drum’n'bass, and that comes in a dark, earthy tone and with a smooth and silky texture. The musical depth and the polished production of this release will keep you entertained for almost a full hour, and its inspiring, almost psychedelic effect will keep you refreshed throughout your day.
